Zhon "Animal Mortician" artist on DeviantArt created this amazing Tauntaun costume. Tautauns were introduced in Star Wars - pretty cool.
Tauntauns were a species of omnivorous reptomammals who were indigenous to the icy planet of Hoth. Tauntauns were commonly used as pack animals during the Rebel Alliance's stay at Hoth. Tauntauns were also used as patrol mounts when it was learned that the Rebel Alliance's own vehicles could not cope with the cold very well.
It's not the first time someone takes a crack at it, check out the video below, it's as close it gets from the movie prop:

Leonard Carson, an engineering technician for San Diego Composites, had been toying around with this idea of a carbon fiber Stormtrooper for a long time. He finally convinced three of his engineering co-workers to jump on board with turning this carbon fiber idea, into a carbon fiber reality.
Carbon fiber isn't a cheap material as you would guess, so the total value for these 4 stormtrooper costumes equals to a pretty nice car...

If you are a Star Wars fan and you love Santa, why not buying this super-geeky yet awesome hat for Christmas? You'll be remembered, that's a fact.
Oh if you are more the Star Trek type of geek, then get the Spock Holiday mask.
How romantic! This Bay Area couple, Star Wars fans, decided to set the bar high when it comes to unique engagement stories! She dressed up as Sith and he dressed up as a Jedi, and in a serie of amazing shots (Michael James Photos Studio), they met, fought, fell in love and are got married.
This is hilarious!
A Ukrainian wearing a Darth Vader costume made an unexpected appearance at a city hall in the south of the country, demanding a plot of land on which to park his spaceship, local authorities said Friday. The man wearing the Star Wars villain's costume was shown in a video posted online walking up to the white pillars of the Odessa City Hall with a plastic light sabre as wind ruffled his long black cloak.
Who knows if he will get the land!!

Looking like an early 1800s artifact found at low tide [...]
Wow! This is awesome. Now I'd love to see someone pulling off the entire Darth Vader Steampunk costume, that would be something!

What a cute idea.
The end result is much cuter than the original creature!
Wampas are Yeti-like creatures that live on the sixth planet of the Hoth system. Wampa's hands have five fingers, each with one large claw. They also have a horn protruding from either side of their heads that curves and points forward. The Wampa's feet do not protrude from the legs and are rather massive. Wampa have sharp teeth and attack with a vicious slash using their massive claws.
This makes all us parents, want to dress up our little one as an ewok!
Great idea for the Star Wars fans out there!
Let us help spread the word about this super cool challenge:
When I was a kid, I dressed up as a Star Wars character just about every year for Halloween. Even though my Chewbacca & Ben Kenobi costumes were pretty sweet, nothing beat the Stormtrooper getup that my parents made for me when I was 5 years old. Because it meant so much to me, I wrote this song about it: A Stormtrooper For Halloween by John Anealio.
What you'll need to do:
After deciding to host a Star Wars themed fancy dress party, young designer Tom Judge decided his friends could not steal the show and proceeded to produce without doubt the most impressive AT-ST outfit ever. More pictures and video after the link… After blowing up a papercraft template from the internet to man sized, Tom then went on to make the needed adjustments so he could get into it with ease. As the video shows movement is fairly easy and there are moving parts and a nice little head hatch, it all makes sense really. But this could still be early days for the outfit, with the possibility of adding lights, motors, midgets dressed as Ewoks nearby fighting stormtroopers, and even a little Chewbacca to be the pilot. Heaven knows what this man will create next.
A man is set to trek more than 3,000 miles across Australia while wearing a Star Wars outfit.
Wow, this is going to be a long walk! Here are some details, thank God he did not choose a chewbacca costume!
Over the course of the trek I will cross four states and cover approximately 5,000km in modified Stormtrooper armour. The plan for now is to push a lightweight buggy with needed supplies and average a distance of 35-40km for five days a week until the trek is complete.
Wow, just WOW! This is Lord Starkiller Costume Helmet based on the character from The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition.
Robert Rodgers is what you call an "artist", his creations focus on sci-fi and fantasyc files/games. He runs a website called Mywickedarmor.com where you can discover all his creations and even help him figuring out what his next creation should be.
We discovered this Lord Starkiller helmet and costume that we had to share:
I loved the way this helmet combined the Sith Stalker and Vader helmets. I pretty much had to make it, and I will be working on the rest of the costume, no doubt.
Amazing.
This is very well done, and very-cost-effective!
Here is what Lindsay did if you want to give it a shot!
The dress lining is a white button down shirt and a pillow case for the skirt — all put together as one piece.
I used 4 1/2 rolls of 15 yard white duct tape, one roll of black for the hair and one roll of silver.
The belt buckle piece was a vintage bucket painted with silver nail polish and a small piece of cut cardboard.
My blaster is an authentic star wars blaster hasbro 2004
The dress would be a modern size 2-4.
