Sacha Baron Cohen in The Dictator Costume

"The Dictator" is new movie to be released in May 2012, featuring Sacha Baron Cohen AKA Ali G, Borat or Bruno.

The heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.

Here is the first official picture of Sacha Baron Cohen wearing a look alike Saddam Hussein dictator costume. You have to expect this movie to be as shocking as Borat or Bruno, so you'll probably either love it or hate it!

Harry Potter Allergic To His Glasses?

I am actually referring to Daniel Radcliffe. In a recent interview with Digital Spy:

We put the glasses on and eventually we realized I was allergic to them. I was allergic to the Harry Potter glasses because these two rings of whiteheads and spots had come up around my eyes. It took us about a week to realize that it was actually the glasses.

Watch the interview above.

Cute Robocop Kid Cosplay

I am just a sucker for stuff like that. This is awesome.

Awesome gallery and story:

The boy insisted for months that he wanted to be a robot for Halloween. His sister was a robot when she was his age. We looked at various robot images on the computer and he was most intrigued by Robocop. After I showed him the trailer, there was no convincing him otherwise. He was going to be Robocop. Which was good, because Detroit has a Cancer. That Cancer is Crime.

Trend Alert: Silicone Masks

I have been paying more attention lately about silicon masks. I am not talking about silicon masks you can find at your local iParty, but special effects/movies silicon masks.

SPFMasks is one of the most popular companies were you can find, order and purchase silicon masks online.

These silicone masks are professional made: they fit to the skin, they allow some facial expressions, and they look as real as it gets.

And because of these masks, cops have a hard time catching bank robbers nowadays!

I told you, this is the real deal!

So, why not putting $10 aside starting this month, so you can buy yourself a one of a kind Halloween mask next year?!

Tutorial: Make 'They Live' Alien Masks

'They Live' was a 1988 movie directed by John Carpenter about "A drifter discovers a pair of sunglasses that allow him to wake up to the fact that aliens have taken over the Earth."

I found this nice tutorial to make alien masks similar to the ones featured in the "They Live" movie on that you can either view here or download.

Awesome Boy Edward Scissorhands Costume!

I found this on this morning, well worth sharing with our readers.

When my son told me that he wanted to be Edward Scissorhands for Halloween, I knew that we were going to have a blast making the costume for him. Everyone in the family had something to add - my son of course offering the piece de resistance by literally becoming Edward that Halloween night :)

The costume was originally made for Halloween 2010 from what i can gather. This turns out to be a pretty inexpensive costume but nevertheless a great look!

Collect belts from used clothing stores. We ended up with ten belts for our then 4 year-old son. Obviously, bigger bodies will need more belts. They were collected over a period of several months anytime we were near a Salvation Army. Find black belts of all shapes and sizes with lots of grommets, studs, big metal buckles, etc. The more visual variety the belts have, the more interesting the costume will look.

For safety purposes, the parents used silver plastic knives and even "file the teeth down with sandpaper".

Photo: Dr Manhattan 2500 LEDs Costume

This is the costume Billy Crudup was wearing in the movie Watchmen as Dr. Manhattan.

2500 LEDs that could produce the light blue effects.

Pretty cool!

How did Billy Crudup fare with the heat of 2500 of them?

The LED’s did not actually run that hot, and they were not on for any length of time. We turned the suit off as soon as the take was over. The suit was never on for more than 10 minutes straight. If it did provide any warmth, that was a good thing because we shot the movie in Vancouver, BC in the middle of winter.

Want a TRON Motorcycle? You Can, for $55,000!

Nope you are not dreaming and, nope, we did not go crazy!

There are wealthy geeks out there who might want to get the matching motorcycle for their TRON costume... maybe! Or you can also get the matching TRON plane :)

The replica is made by Parker Brothers Custom Choppers.

This is the illuminated, street-legal motorcycle inspired by the computer animated cycle from the 2010 film Tron: Legacy. Designed for casual cruising and slow ride-bys at shows, it is made from a steel frame covered by a fiberglass cowling that replicates the sleek look of its computer-generated imagery counterpart. Electroluminescent strips built into the tire cowlings, wheel rims, and body illuminate the cycle. It is powered by a fuel-injected Suzuki 996cc, 4-stroke engine. Riders lay at a near-horizontal position astride the padded leather seat, with feet on foot pegs that control its 6-speed constant mesh manual transmission and hands on the handlebars for throttle and braking. The hubless wheels are former truck tires built up then custom-shaped to fit onto one of two counter-rotating rims spinning within each other, providing the broad-tired authenticity of the computer cycles from the movie. A chain-driven friction drum manages acceleration and braking from the handlebars. It has spring-loaded front and rigid rear suspension. Its wet sump lubrication system eliminates tubes and hoses for oil pick-up, facilitating its streamlined, minimalist design.
