How to make a Tallahassee (Zombieland) costume
Woody Harrelson plays the butt-kickin’, Twinkie-lovin’ zombie killer Tallahassee in the film, “Zombieland.” Add a dash of hero to your next costume party and use this simple DIY tutorial to come up with your own quick n’ dirty costume of this horror hero.
##Things You’ll Need##
* Black leather jacket in a motocross style, or a Snakeskin jacket.
* Black v-neck t-shirt, preferably faded
* Jeans (distressed)
* Brown belt
* Guns of all sizes
* OPTIONAL: Bald cap
##Putting together your Tallahassee (Zombieland) costume##
Step 1: You probably have a faded black v-neck tshirt lying around the house somewhere and a pair of jeans. Put them on with a brown belt.
Step 2: Get a Padlock necklace to wear around your neck.
Step 3: If you don’t have a leather jacket, you can pick up a nice cheap fake one if you head to a teen or ladies’ store, or possibly a Thrift Store that may have a good knock-off version without spending big bucks on a real leather or snakeskin jacket like the one Tallahassee wears. Larger guys can probably find something to fit them in a pleather ladies’ Plus Size jacket in one of these stores to get the look.
Step 4: Put on a pair of cowboy boots or pointed toed shoes underneath your jeans.
Step 5: Optionally, you may choose to wear a bald cap to get Tallahassee’s hairstyle. If you want to add a hint of stubble, you can draw on the wig with a fine-tip brown marker, stippling it with just a little bit of stubble for a shadowy effect.
Step 7: Grab a bunch of toy guns to accessorize your costume. You don’t want to get caught with your pants down OR without your gun.
Step 8: And of course, pick up a couple Twinkies to stash in your belt or jacket pocket. To hell with Snowballs, you want to make sure you’ve got that last bit of golden, creamy goodness to get you through Zombieland!
