How to make a Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) costume
Who doesn’t love Luna Lovegood? Sometimes derrogatorily referred to as “Loony” by her fellow Hogwarts classmates, Luna may seem eccentric and flighty, but she’s much sharper than the impression she initially gives off. Her father is the editor of the wizarding world newspaper, The Quibbler, which she is frequently fond of reading. She becomes good friends with Harry and is even a part of Dumbledore’s Army, always eager to help out.

##Putting together your Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) costume##
Step 1: Put on a long (at least waist length) blonde wig. You may want to braid the bottom part overnight so that theends curl like Luna’s. You can unbraid it right before wearing.
Step 2: Put on a pair of Feather Mask Glasses to look like the special Wizarding GOggles Luna sports in the “Half Blood Prince” film.
Step 3: Wear your Hogwart’s uniform with a white oxford button down shirt, plaid skit, and of course, a regulation Ravenclaw necktie in the house colors of navy and grey.
Step 4: Put on a pink tweed jacket or blazer in a pastel shade that Luna typically favors.
Step 5: Add another splash of color to your uniform with a pair of brightly colored tights in pink, purple, turquoise, or any other color of your choosing.
Step 6: Put on a pair of flat maryjanes in black patent.
Step 7: Grab a stack of magazines (which, if you’re feeling really creative, you can create your own covers for in Photoshop) and your wand and you’re ready to cheer on the Gryffindor Quiddich team!
