How to make a ghost costume?

A ghost costume is perhaps the easiest of all costumes to create. You don’t have to spend a lot of money in making a ghost costume and you certainly don’t have to spend it by buying a costume either. There are of course other ghosts than the typical easy one to make, but for now we are going to look at the essential items you need and the instructions for a simple ghost.

##Things You’ll Need:##

* White sheet

* Gray face paint

* White or gray gloves

* White shoes

##Instructions:##

Step 1: The main part of the ghost is going to be formulated with the sheet. Some ghosts are just very pale individuals in their normal clothing. But for our purposes you need to dress very warm underneath the sheet if you live in a cold area. The clothes are your choice as they will not be seen. A typical sheet ghost has the face and head covered with eye holes to see. We are going a little more dramatic. You will want to cut the sheet around the head so that it drapes from the shoulders. The sheet may need to be modified to the correct length depending on the size of sheet and of course your height.

The sheet should then be sewn to make draped arms in a bell sleeve style. This allows the sheet to cover the arms, but you still have use of them without revealing what is under the sheet.

Step 2: You will need white shoes for your feet that are both warm and comfortable. You also need something to cover your hands. Your hands should be pale so a gray or white glove will work.

Step 3: This is the final step. Your hair can be nice or tangled it is up to you. This part of the costume will concentrate on the head. The ears, face, and neck need to have that ghostly pallor. You may even add a touch of evil to the look if you wish.
