How to make a Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter) costume
In the Harry Potter series, Bellatrix Lestrange is perhaps one of the cruelest followers of the Dark Lord Voldemort. A member of the notorious Black family who married pureblood wizard (and fellow Death Eater) Rodolphus Lestrange, Bellatrix served a stint in Azkaban prison following the fall of Voldemort, the dark wizard whom she served with exceptional loyalty. Her stay in prison left her a bit loopy, and boy, was Bellatrix rarin’ and ready to go when Voldie staged a jailbreak of his loyal followers.

##Putting together your Bellatrix Lestrange costume##
Step 2: Put on a long black dress. It can be slim-fitting, long-sleeved, or even strapless if you so choose. Any long, black dress in any material will do!
Step 3: Cinch the waist of your dress with a wide purple belt in any fabric, or even a waist cincher.
Step 4: Swing on a long, dramatic black frock coat in any fabric for a ladylike, yet gothic addition to your outfit.
Step 5: Put on a black corded necklace with a silver charm.
Step 6: Roll up the sleeve of your frock coat and use your black eyeliner pencil to draw on a Death Eater’s “Dark Mark,” a skull with a snake coming out of its mouth. Pictures of “The Dark Mark” can be found online and you can easily trace and transfer it to your arm. No good Death Eater leaves home without it!
Step 7: Apply character makeup with deep red lipstick and heavy dark grey or black shadow on your upper lids with a small bit beneath your eye for dark circles. Applying Unforgiveable Curses takes a lot out of a gal!
Step 8: Lace up a pair of black granny boots to wear beneath your skirts.
Step 8: Grab your wand and get ready to race off to the next Death Eater meeting. Wouldn’t want to keep Voldie waiting, now would we?
