Garth is Wayne's best friend and metal-loving sidekick in the Wayne's World series of comedy sketches on Saturday Night Live and the movies that followed. Garth (played by Dana Carvey) is nervous, easily excitable, and "likes to play" drums. He's never seen without his drumsticks and frequently plays "air drums" with them.
Party on dressed as Garth with this easy to put together costume, a great one to wear with a friend dressed as Wayne.
Step 2: Put on a pair of black rimmed nerd glasses
Step 3: Raid your closet or dig up a vintage rock band t-shrit from a thrift shop and put it on. Motley Crue, Aerosmith, or any other band that put out albums in the '80s (or earlier) are great choices. You want to make sure they're nice and weathered looking and have been washed about 100 times!
Step 4: Swing on a flannel shirt over your t-shirt. If you want, you can roll up the sleeves to just below the elbow.
Step 5: Put on a pair of stonewashed jeans. Grab some scissors and slice holes in the knees. Fray the holes a bit to give them a more worn-in, vintage look.
Step 6: Put on a pair of black Converse sneakers.
Step 7: Pick up your drumsticks and prepare to "Party on, Garth!" Excellent!
