How to Create a Goku (Dragonball Evolution) Costume

For followers of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ballz the fact that a 20th Century film production is about to be unleashed is very exciting. Following up this excitement with a great costume idea for your costume party is even better. The movie is staring Son Goku or Goku. Goku is a monkey tailed boy who practices martial arts; therefore the costume will reflect his typical appearance and strength.

Materials Needed:

• Blue tee shirt

• Blue socks

• Blue shoes

• Black wig

• Blue belt

• Orange or Red jump suit

Instructions:

Step 1: The best way to start out making the Goku costume is by finding clothing at a discount clothing store or thrift store that matches the above list. While you can also create every piece from scratch with a sewing machine, you may not have the time or inclination. By finding readymade clothing you can fit them to your needs.

Step 2: The blue tee shirt will go underneath the jumpsuit. The jumpsuit will need to be altered because it is most likely short or long sleeved. The alterations needed are fairly simple. You will need a tank style top, which means no sleeves. If, the suit has a collar it should be removed. Then you will need to create a V from the top to the mid chest, with the material. You can also attach a Dragon Ball logo to the left front.

Step 3: The blue belt will need to be two inches thick and wrap around the waist much like a karate belt.

Step 4: The socks and shoes are self explanatory and will finish of the main part of the costume.

Step 5: the last thing that needs to be in place is the hair. The hair should be a black wig that has been styled in the typical Goku look. This means lots of pointed ends, which look a little wild.

For an optional choice you can find some material to enhance your muscular look such as a muscle costume to place underneath the clothing. Otherwise you are ready to go beat back some monsters to save the world!
