In the 80’s Terminator was quite popular. In 2009 a new movie is being released called Terminator Salvation. The new movie will be picking the story line up in the future, which is where John Connor is from. He travelled back into the past in a previous film to protect Sarah Connor- his mother. In the movie prototype cybernetics called T600 existed to stop the human race. The T600 came before the T800, which was also a humanoid. They are typically assassins, which can make for a great costume. We have a couple ideas on how you can create a T600 costume for the next costume party or the movie release.
Materials Needed:
• Black wire
• Tinfoil or silver fabric
• Fake weapons
• Red contacts
Instructions:
Step 1: As we mentioned above the T600 is a humanoid machine. Since it was a prototype it is very rarely seen with human skin on it; though they do exist. You can create two different T600 costumes. One you can use your regular skin, add a little theater paint and on you go to the party. For something a lot cooler you will need t o check out online fabric stores. www.discountfabric.com or www.joann.com can help you find the metal like silver fabric you are looking for.
Step 2: Once you have the fabric you need to create your suit. You will need a hood, long sleeve shirt, and pants. You may also want to find buttons that will match the silver. By using the buttons you can sew them on the fabric to make joints, which will help you look like the T600. The costume should be fairly skin tight.
Step 3: After you have completed the fabric suit and attached some buttons for effect, you need to create the “cybernetics.” The cybernetics can be made with the black wire. You will want to stretch wire along the arms, near the neck to attach the hood, and throughout the legs. It will take a bit of wire to make them look like electronic ligaments.
Step 4: The last step before you are ready to head out is adding the eyes. The {t600} eyes are red and glowing. There are some places that will sell non prescription contacts, which will help you create this effect.
Armed with a metal like suit you can look like the Terminator T600 and wow everyone at the party!
