How to Create a T800 (Terminator) Costume

The T800 first appeared in The Terminator released in 1984. The T800 is a cybernetic organism with artificial intelligence. It was created in order to kill John Connor. Since John Connor was leading a group against the AI beings they decided he had to be stopped. The {T800} Terminator will also appear in the 2009 movie- Terminator Salvation. If you or your friends need costume ideas the T800 is one of the best. We will give you a couple of ideas on how to create your own costume to spread terror at your next costume party!

Materials Needed:

• Black tee shirt

• Black jeans

• Black leather jacket

• Face paint

• Red Contact (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Since most of us do not have theatre makeup lying around you will need to visit an online store that sells the makeup or try your local costume store. You might try www.stageandtheatermakeup.com as one resource for the face paint you need. You will need grey and silver paint.

Step 2: The terminator T800 is going to look mostly human. He was created to fool the human race into thinking he was just as normal as everyone else, except for the fact that he kills. So the clothing should be natural and it should be finished off with black boots.

Step 3: The real part of the T800 comes in when you show areas of damage. Since the T800 has been damaged in combat against the good guys chances are the hands, arms, and face will need a bit of change. Using the theatre paint you will want to place gray areas on the areas mentioned, making it look as though your cybernetics have been exposed. The silver paint will be for the extremely exposed regions. The paint in this case should make it look as though your tendons are exposed as the silver metal of your body. It may be helpful to have someone else work on the paint with you.

Once you have the paint completed to your desire you are almost ready to go. There is an optional choice if you wish. You can obtain a red contact that will cover the natural color of your eye. The T800 used the red eye to scan for John Connor and read data. However, contacts are not always easy to come by, so you might have to forego this little option.
