The Mad Hatter is one of the liveliest characters from Alice in Wonderland. With the different hats and wacky outfit this costume makes a great one for any costume party. Below we have steps on how to create the costume and even what you will need. Costumes are a lot of fun to make whether you have the pieces you need in your closet or need to make them with needle and thread.
Step 1: In this first step you will need to locate the items to create the costume; then you can start assembling the clothing in a logical manner. Obviously the first things to wear will be the pants and dress shirt. The collar on the dress shirt should be turned up to be around the neck.
Step 2: The sweater vest and coat will then be next. This coat should be just below the waist, but no longer. It is a suit jacket in most cases.
Step 3: Once the main outfit has been put on your can start to create the accessories. The blue bowtie should be around the neck to complete the costume.
Step 4: Also in accessories you need to have a wild white wig. The hair should stray out from under the hat in a bit of a wacky style. Then the hat goes on top to hold the wig in place. You should also have a 10 percent sticker in the side of the hat.
Step 5: Lastly you need to have a wooden cane to carry around with you. The Mad Hatter is a bit of an older gentleman.
