For those who do not want to purchase a Joker costume there are ways to create a pretty great likeness to the character. There are some signature pieces to the costume that you do not want to forget.
Things You Need:
- Costume makeup
- Purple material or suit
- Green wig
- Purple gloves
- Green vest or material
- Dress shirt
- Dress shoes
Instructions:
Step 1: The Joker is always seen in a purple suit, green vest, and shirt with tie to match. You can either create the suit or go to a second hand store to find a purple suit that will fit you or the person you are making the costume for. The suit can be a little baggy if you would like. The gloves will complete the purple costume.
Step 2: The Joker will always have the green hair so you can add a wig to the costume or you can dye the person hair green with something that is washable.
Step 3: The makeup is the hardest part of the costume and the longest area that you will need to spend time on. The makeup should start off white. A white base around the chin, neck, and even the ears if they are showing, then you will apply the menacing grin. The grin should be completed in blood red. Depending on which joker you pattern you might make the grin very wide and fill in the red or you could have a simpler grin coming off the mouth of the individual. In the dark night the eyes are circled by black, but this is optional.
Step 4: The Joker always head deadly jester tricks up his sleeve. You can add a ring that will shock the person, a water flower, and other tools of the trade to complete the costume.
