I have been searching for 6 months for a Christine Daae costume and I have finally decided to make one and it isn't hard at all, The following explains how I put together the Dressing Gown Costume for Christine Daae: First I bought a long satin robe (you need to make sure it is fitted in the waist and upper arms). I added lace to the collar and opened the sleeves so they would fan out and then added lace to it. I Made sure the waist was brought in. Then I bought a lacey Bridal corset to wear under it. You then can either make it sexy with garter belt and stalkings or make it original to the musical with a slip instead. It came out perfect. I hope that was some help.
someone please help! I want to be Christine(from Phantom of the Opera), but can't find any costume ideas that wouldn't cost a fortune.
