Student nurse question

Hi! I'm doing costumes for a play and I need a student nurse. Do you know about nusres clothing and regulations - do student nurses always wear white? Do they have trim on their costume? Can they ever wear white or colored scrubs to do their rounds? Are there any other major details about nurse I should know?
