Charley's Aunt
I plan to costume as Charley's Aunt, the character from the play written by Brandon Thomas.
The costume will be a big black dress with a 115" hoopskirt, gray wig with curls, bonnet, gloves, reticule and fan.
I got the idea from the Jack Benny film and the Playhouse 90 program starring Art Carney.
I wanted this to be a humorous costume.
What do you think of the idea? Do you think this will be funny?
Also looking at the picture, does it look like a middle aged woman from the late 1890's?
Just wanted a few comments on the costume.
