Fall Sneak Peak: What Favorite Costumes Should You Keep?

It is now August, which means it is the time of year to get answers about our favorite shows, and thus what costumes we might need to keep for costume parties and the upcoming Halloween festivities. It’s also the time when we find out what new shows will be released in the fall helping us to see if there are new costumes we might want to try out.

As you might expect there are several shows returning such as 30 Rock, 90210, Amazing Race, American Dad, American Idol, America’s Next Top Model, the Bachelor, Big Bang Theory, Biggest Loser, Bones, Brothers and Sisters, Celebrity Apprentice, Chuck, Cleveland Show, Community, Cops, Cougar Town, Criminal Minds, CSI Trilogy, Dancing with the Stars, Desperate Housewives, Family Guy, Friday Night Lights, Fringe, Human Target, and many more. This season you will definitely have some vampires, supernatural beings, spies, and crime scene investigator costumes to choose from.

Along with the several shows returning there are those that will not make the cut such as 24, The Beautiful Life, Cold Case, Dollhouse, Eastwick, Flashforward, The Forgotten, Hank, Ghost Whisper, Law and Order, Heroes, Lost, Miami Medical, Numbers, Past Life, Til Death, and Trauma. The time was coming for many of these shows which have ended. Cold Case, 24, Law and Order, Heroes, and the New Adventures of Old Christine were all losing their focus. Some of the others that didn’t make the cut did not do well in their first season. They were sure to end, while others it is a surprise they didn’t do as well as the networks hoped.

Many of us will be satisfied with the renewals because it means characters like Bones and her FBI counterpart will be returning. Football costumes will still be in style for such things as Friday Night Lights. What is more we have plenty of new shows to choose from.

Nikita is perhaps the most played in the media right now for new shows. The CW will be creating a new Nikita with Maggie Q in the spot light. It is a bit uncertain where the new show is picking up, but it seems to be more in line with the movie rather than the 1990s series. Whatever the case Nikita costumes are sure to fly off the shelves.

If that is not enough, you’ve got a Criminal Minds Spin-off. The FBI is going with a new look with West Wing’s Richard Schiff, Janeane Garofalo, Matt Ryan, Michael Kelly, Beau Garrett, and Kristen Vangsness. Among the other new shows is one called Outlaw, which is a new court justice show with Jimmy Smits. So get our your judge costume cause you might be needing it. Another show getting quite a bit of air time is Hawaii Five-O you may remember the title, but this time it has a new millennium upgrade with Alex O’loughlin, Mark Ahsing, Scott Caan, and Angela Gots. The original show aired for 12 years, so it will be interesting to see if the Hawaii costumes and premise can make another 12 year run.
