Ape costume at screening of Rise of the Planet of the Apes

This is what we call a true fan! Kurt Weinreich was seen recently at the AMC Westminster Promenade 24 theater (denver) wearing a full Ape costume from the Planet of the Apes movie.

What is very impressive is this is a totally handmade costume (well not the mask we guess...)

I do charity work with the volunteer group The 501st Legion Mountain Garrison. We have movie replica gear from the Star Wars series, and I decided I wanted to make my own Planet of the Apes costume. I used a full prosthetic latex gorilla mask, prosthetic hair, and created the rifle from wood. This is all homemade.
