Creating Your Own Easter Bunny!

Easter Bunnies are the topic when March rolls around. If you are elected Easter Bunny of the year then you will need to have a special costume. Sure you can rent a costume or even purchase a costume, but that is not always the most fun. If you want a unique Easter Bunny then you need to create your own.

There are two ways to go about creating your own Easter Bunny.

The first method is making your own pattern if you are an artist.

The material is also going to be your choice. The best is a cotton or fleece fabric that offers the soft texture to the children. You may want to line the suit with something a little less hot such as a thin cotton or satin material. This will help keep you cool if the day is warm.

To begin you need to cut out the pattern you have chosen. You get to choose the colors and the accessories.

Once the pattern is cut out sew the suit together with the different fabrics.

For a different idea you can choose to have white and brown or another type of mixture.

The bunny ears are generally white with pink and you should not forget the pipe cleaners to help hold them erect if that is your desire. Some of the bunny costumes go for the floppy ears, and this is certainly your prerogative.

Once the ears and the rest of the costume is sewn together you will need the bunny tail. This should be made from a cotton substance as well. Most bunny tails are very bushy, but it should be a material that will not come apart.

No Easter Bunny is complete without their basket full of Easter eggs. In this case you can decide on real eggs or the plastic eggs. The plastic eggs can be used for party gifts with jelly beans.

To complete the basket you will need grass to nest the eggs in, then you will be complete and ready for your party.
